Feedback From Our Families

Lauren Barranti

I love the Italian cemetary and the history and culture make it so rich and interesting not to mention the comfort I feel when visiting. Troy helped us with our arrangements and he is stellar.

My family recently had a graveside service at The Italian Cemetery. The main service was in the El Camino chapel with final blessings across the street at the columbarium. This was my first time planing a funeral and I needed a lot of help. I live in another county so and had to make decision by phone and email. I worked with Joanna in the early stages to find a site that would be close to an older family plot. She took photos and emailed them to me so I could see the locations, and helped me to select a niche. She was very patient and kindly answered my many questions via email, sent photos of the niche and chapel so we could see the locations, and sent maps of the cemetery layout. She coached me days before the service so I‘d know what to expect. This event was 3.5 months in planning, from purchase of the cremation niche site, to the day of the event. Throughout this time the office staff were very kind, professional and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for our special service. The day of the service I needed help in finding the cemetery and called the office. Steve was kind enough to stay on the phone with me until I arrived. Troy helped our family with the service, made sure we had chairs set up outside for the final blessings and stayed with us until the event was finished. When we were clearing out of the chapel an item was left behind. Troy kindly emailed me to let me know they had the item at the office and would hold it for us. Everyone we interacted with at The Italian Cemetery made us feel at ease and comfortable. I gladly give them highest ratings. Big thanks to Joanna,Troy, and Steve for making this a happy event for all of us. I trust that our loved one’s grave will receive excellent care.

I wanted to put a new stone on my parents grave, but I live in Oregon. I emailed the Italian Cemetery, they got back to me immediately gave me options, pricing and pictures and helped me with the entire process. Once I decided what I wanted, they helped me get everything done and sent me pictures once the stone was in place. It was an experience I will never forget

Amazing service by all that work there. Troy you were amazing. Thank you so much for the help.

Choose which grave plot you would like in the cemetery. Would you like a spot by a big tree or a space that is easy to find? Reserve the plot now so that you do not have to scramble to make plans on a tight timeline.

Exterior Garden Mausoleum crypt walls

Would you like to provide an indoor, private area for your loved one to be laid to rest. Look into a crypt to bury your loved one, whether you choose burial or cremation. It’s always nice to speak with your deceased loved one in a private space where everyone else in the cemetery doesn’t have to overhear.

Choose a small space for your loved one’s ashes to be stored within the cemetery grounds. This miniature crypt is a perfect place to store the ashes so that you can have a permanent place for the urn. When one person has the urn inside their home, it doesn’t provide a place for friends and family to visit and pay respects to the deceased over the years. Keeping the ashes in a cemetery is the perfect solution.

Closely spaced small family mausoleums in dark granite

A family vault allows all of your loved ones to be buried in one location inside a building. This indoor location is protected from drastic weather changes and can be visited during a rainstorm or high winds. Choose a family vault that can accommodate three people or 20 people.

Gather together with your family to memorialize your loved ones in a ceremony before the burial. We offer chapel rentals so that you can feel at home at the cemetery site, holding a service that is special to your family.

Create a grave monument that is specific to the deceased’s personality. You may choose a monument that is seen from the other side of the cemetery. Or you can take a more subtle route with a monument that is made for just you and your family to gather around.

Pre-Need Planning

You do not have to rush to make all of your cemetery decisions once you find out about a death in your family. Instead, plan ahead with pre-need services. For example, reserve a family vault or buy cemetery plots that are all near each other. These advanced arrangements can help you be prepared for the unexpected.

Do not wait to make plans until after you’ve learned about a death in the family. Emotions are raw, and it’s a challenging time to make permanent decisions. Then, when you make advanced arrangements, you can get input from the subject who be buried and choose according to their preferences. Or you can make plans for your own burial or cremation without leaving your family to guess.
