Our Mausoleums
Whether part of a public structure or built as a private family space, mausoleums provide a secure and permanent resting place for loved ones. They can be designed for a single individual or for multiple family members, and may be constructed as standalone private buildings or as part of a shared community mausoleum within a cemetery.
Mausoleums are ideal for those seeking a more personalized and protected way to honor their loved ones. With options for custom design, placement, and interior features, they offer a level of flexibility and permanence unmatched by other burial choices.
Key Advantages of Mausoleums
Community Mausoleums
Community mausoleums offer a respectful and lasting option for above-ground burial. These shared structures provide individual crypt spaces in a quiet, well-maintained setting.

Main Chapel Mausoleum
The main chapel at the Italian Cemetery serves as the focal point of the cemetery’s north side. It hosts our annual holiday Masses and is available to rent for funeral services, especially during inclement weather. The exterior is clad in red split-faced Persian marble, matching the style of its sister structure, the Skylight Mausoleum.
Skylight Mausoleum
The Skylight Mausoleum features a red split-faced Persian marble on the outside and polished Breccia Pernice Italian marble on the inside. The atrium at the main entrance contains a bronze statue of La Pieta, a replica of Michelangelo’s statue in Rome. This building combines leaded glass with beveled and engraved glass in a contemporary sculptural statement.

El Camino Mausoleum
The El Camino Mausoleum runs parallel to the historic El Camino Real, overlooking the iconic roadway below. While all crypt spaces within the mausoleum have been sold, several niche columbariums remain available for the placement of cremated remains.
The El Camino Chapel, located within the mausoleum, continues to serve families for committal and interment services held in this beautiful and historic setting.

Courtyard Mausoleum
The Courtyard Mausoleum is one of the Italian Cemetery’s most distinctive landmarks. Its elegant white exterior and striking red granite crypts create a peaceful and dignified setting. Inside, three beautifully designed halls mirror one another, offering a sense of balance and serenity.
As you walk through the corridor toward the back, you’ll pass two columbariums featuring glass-front niches, softly illuminated by natural light. At the end of the hall, three private enclaves provide families with a secluded and exclusive space for remembrance and reflection.
Garden Mausoleum
The Garden Mausoleums at the Italian Cemetery are timeless tributes to tradition, classic outdoor structures like those found in cemeteries around the world. Designed for accessibility and serenity, they offer families a peaceful place to visit and reflect.
Among the earliest mausoleums built on the cemetery grounds, these cherished spaces are framed by graceful trees, manicured shrubs, and open skies, creating a tranquil setting that honors loved ones for generations to come.

Sunset Mausoleum
Completed in 2021, the Sunset Mausoleum is the newest addition to the Italian Cemetery’s collection of public mausoleums. Built in response to the growing demand for outdoor memorial spaces, it combines modern design with timeless dignity.
The mausoleum features four graceful rows of both single and companion crypts. Facing west, its architecture captures the gentle glow of the afternoon sun, a serene and symbolic reminder of peace and reflection at day’s end.
Lasting Memories Mausoleum
The Lasting Memories Mausoleum offers families a unique balance of both indoor and outdoor crypts, a rare combination that provides comfort and flexibility in choosing a final resting place.
More intimate in scale than our larger mausoleums, its peaceful setting creates a sense of privacy and reflection. The quiet atmosphere and graceful design make it a cherished space for those seeking a more personal and serene memorial experience.
